Past and Present:

The roots of Unitarianism go back to the Renaissance and the Reformation, when traditional Christian doctrines on the Trinity and the nature of Jesus were questioned. Unitarians emphasised instead the Unity of God - and of all creation.

Our oldest places of worship were founded as dissenting chapels and meeting houses 350 years ago.

Altar at GGU.

Today, Unitarianism is concerned with life values and meanings, and encourages individuals to discover and develop their potential as creative, self-conscious and responsible beings.
